Things Happen (Episode 2)

My first MMORPG was Ragnarok Online™ back on 2001, I was on Chaos server and when August came, I transfered to Loki.

Nah, that's me on a Private Server

Before Granado Espada, there's one MMO I loved so much. It's Pristontale, though almost everyone says it sucks, when you really love a game, you can live with its negative qualities just like in real life. I played on ePT as they call it, it's an international server where it is Free to Play until you reach a certain level (forgot if it's Lvl30 or 49). Then eventually, Pristontale came into the Philippines. I was one of the first 1000 Closed Beta Testers, Installers and some merchandise were mailed right through our doorstep, a letter of acknowledgement was included too with the mail. Well, I managed to save some screenshots of my Closed Beta experience in Pristontale Philippines.

Priestess' Healing Skill

The one and only emote in the game, just type "yahoo"

Well as every Closed Beta in every MMORPG, there's always character wipe at the end of the phase, quite sad about it (I barely leveled because I'd spent most of my time exploring). Argh, I lost my last minute of CBT screenshots because I've uploaded it on my Friendster that got deleted. Every Beta Tester should get over with it, I know.

Weee, Open beta! But what? pPT is Pay to Play on commercial launch? That was quite hard for me but PT was the first MMO that I liked so much, might as well shell out some money just to play at commercial launch. Just as almost every MMO out there, Grind... grind... and grind, days become ordinary and tiring also but THINGS HAPPEN you know. I met someone in pPT.

My Angel...

Yes, my ingame sweetheart. Her ingame name may sound unusual (baba37l). Yeah I'm aware of those shemales out there but sometimes I trust my intuition.

Delacroix and baba37l XD

Long story short, She became my in-game Girlfriend, we met in Manila (that was 2005 I think) and we're official. A lot questioned our relationship, not only because it's a long distance relationship and we just met in a MMORPG, it's because of our age gap. yes she told me back then that she's 26 but she's actually 29, I was 19 years old. So, 10 years gap but we didn't mind. As of now she lives with me here in Batangas after we lived-in at Manila for about almost 3 years. We still don't have a baby though.

Guess that's for now. Things happen, aren't they?

A Not-so News Flash Around the Corner

Nothing particular and nothing special...

It's just one of my neighbors committed suicide. What for? Because of his boyfriend... yes you read it right - HIS boyfriend. It was just last night, before I went home I bought some BBQ for dinner and on my way home I notice some commotion going on, people murmuring about someone in the hospital, if he's still alive, how did he look and everything. So I hurry home to know who's this particular individual that committed suicide. The news was all over even my Mother knew some of the details about it, say... news travel sure fast along with some gossips. I'd rather not mention his name but as far as I know he was drunk at that time, he joked around with his friends that he's going to hang himself and so they took it as a joke.

Then in a not so lighted area at a hut near our house they saw a familiar figure seems like hanging but only a half an inch above the ground. They thought he was only joking to it as he could just simply stand on his toes while seemingly look hanging. To their curiosity they gently slapped his face and on their mere surprise he indeed committed suicide. They said there were so much Mucus coming out of his nose and his lip was very dead pale, but he was still alive. A few people helped him out, one to hold him up, another to straighten his body and his father to remove the blanket that he used to hang himself. A Tricycle was available right away to bring him to the hospital. That was all I knew about what happened.

About why he did it is what really puzzles me. HE committed suicide because of HIS boyfriend. I knew him but I didn't know he would do such a thing, maybe because he's drunk, well he couldn't be so drunk by that time I think. He's finally out of the hospital, the doctors said that his lungs quite swelled maybe due to trapped air and even suggested that he should be transferred to the ICU but his parents have no money for it so they just brought him home. As of now I think he's okay and I also knew the Boyfriend of HIM they are talking about. If I'm not mistaken, he's the 14 year old guy that I taught how to play Granado Espada.

The reasons are still a mystery to me, but I feel that I need not to bother, it's their lives anyway.

Things Happen (Episode 1)

Just when you think things are going your way, now it becomes totally ruined. Why I'd say that? Look at seaGE. I've been a pioneer since CBT moreover, I've been anticipating so much of this MMO back when it was still a Teaser Site (www.granadoespada.com back then).

My CBT Barracks

CBT Poses

CBT Ass Kicking Action XD

I get to play GE when I was on Manila, such old moments, and when CBT ended I waited for OBT of course. I get to play on OBT but as soon as the news of GE going P2P (Pay to Play) it kinda discouraged me on continuing. (yeah I and most of us can't sustain a weekly or monthly fee for it). So I have no choice but do drop GE, oh so much I wanted to play. I've tried playing different MMO's (including Private Servers), nah I got bored of them immediately.

Hey, what's with the box over the head?

Just when I almost forgot everything about it, I came back to Batangas. I didn't expect that someone's playing GE at our place besides the fact that in Manila (particularly around QC - Caloocan Area) I'd rarely or almost don't hear anything about GE being played or discussed of.

I guess things happen you know. Maybe GE is totally destined for me. seaGE was on F2P already when I came back, I can live with Item shop but the most important is that finally I can play GE to my heart's content.
